Four steps. Then you are done.

  1. 01

    Pick 1, 3 or 5 years

A multi-year plan is one payment for the whole term, so the code does not quietly lapse.

  2. 02

We match the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (RCS) records

We check the legal name and RCS number in the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (RCS). You confirm the entity before submission.

A GLEIF-accredited issuer publishes the code. The PDF arrives when the record is live.

Why LEIFast

Built to order, not to browse.

The homepage is the application. Plans sit on the first screen. The form stays out of the way until you mean it.

  • The form is on the first screen, behind one click.
  • Start with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (RCS), not a page of empty identity fields.
  • Pay once for 1, 3 or 5 years. The code stays Issued for that term.
  • We are the Registration Agent. The issuer publishes the code.

Luxembourg companies, funds and investment vehicles often need an LEI for trading, EMIR reports, custody and counterparty onboarding.

Securities and MiFID II

Brokers and trading venues may ask a Luxembourg entity for an active LEI before a reportable transaction.

EMIR derivatives

Derivatives counterparties and reporting workflows can require the legal entity’s LEI to be current.

Banking and treasury

Banks may use the LEI alongside the RCS number for institutional KYC, lending and treasury activity.

Funds and investment vehicles

Funds and investment structures are separate legal entities; each record must identify the correct vehicle.

Cross-border counterparties

An RCS number is the local registration reference; an LEI is the common identifier used by custodians, brokers and reporting systems.

Renewal and record status

Counterparties can check GLEIF directly, so an Issued record matters after the initial application.

Read who needs an LEI in Luxembourg and what the code is.

An LEI is a 20-character code for a Luxembourg entity.

It links the Luxembourg entity and its RCS details to one public record used throughout global finance. The record shows legal name, RCS number, address and registration status.

If an active LEI is required, a missing or Lapsed record can prevent a trade or report from being processed. The code stays the same and its data is confirmed annually.

LEIFast is the Registration Agent, not the issuer. We send the checked application to WM Datenservice for validation and issuance.

Questions, answered plainly.

A 20-character ISO 17442 code that identifies a legal entity. Public in the GLEIF index.

Luxembourg companies, funds and investment vehicles often need an LEI for trading, EMIR reports, custody and counterparty onboarding. The exact requirement depends on the transaction and the requesting institution.

Only GLEIF-accredited Local Operating Units. LEIFast is a Registration Agent. We do not issue the code.

Complete applications can often be handled the same working day when records from the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register (RCS) and the authority to apply are clear.

One year at a time. A 3- or 5-year plan is one payment that keeps the code Issued for that term.

Renew with us if we manage it, or transfer first. The 20 characters stay the same. Transfer is free.

The yearly confirmation was missed. Many banks will not accept it until it is Issued again.

Legal name, RCS number, registered address, contact details and parent information where GLEIF requires it.

If the applicant is not a director, if a parent link must be proved, or for some funds. We ask only then.

Use LEI search. The status must be Issued, not Lapsed.
